    Best pads - by far!

I tried a number of breast pad brands and found these were by far the best. They stayed in place even at night and were super absorbent and comfortable.

    So comfortable

I love that they have two sticky tabs so there is less chance of them moving around, particularly at night when I fidget about a lot more. They're really soft and comfortable, and I've found they hold a lot and have never leaked, which is great if you've got a heavy flow. They're really thin too, so don't show through your clothes, even when they've absorbed a lot. Really useful that that are wrapped up, as it means I can pop a few in the nappy bag for when we're out and about.

    Best nursing pads out there!

Nursing Pads: I have recently returned to work 5 days a week after having 9 1/2 months off to spend with my darling Evelyn. She is still breastfed when I am around and bottle fed whilst I am at work. She relies most on my milk makers of a night time when she is settling down for the night... But now I am not around for those feeds I was on the hunt for some super absorbent nursing pads that I could wear to work whilst my milk adjusts, I was so conscious about leaking whilst at work! ? I have found that the Lansinoh nursing pads are the super absorbant ones which I was looking for, they keep the moisture locked. The pads are so soft, breathable and they have a stay-dry quilted lining for added comfort, when I use them I know that my clothing will stay dry day and night! I love the fact that they have the non-slip tapes on them so I always know they will stay secure and in place when I am constantly on the move at work. I always take extra with me just in case the pads fill quickly, this has been made taking them out and about by them being individually wrapped!

Essential quality product- is packaging necessary though?

Having tried multiple brands of nursing pads, nothing else compared in terms of absorbency, softness and ability to stay in place so a HUGE thankyou. My only query is whether it is necessary for the full box to be individually wrapped? It seems wasteful in an age when we are trying to reduce packaging. Whilst it is convenient for a small % of the pads to be wrapped for hygiene purposes when taking in your bag, majority of the pads are used in the comfort of your home in which the wrapping does not seem to be necessary? Maybe there could be the option to buy individually wrapped or not. Just a suggestion.

Thank you for making a great reliable product

I would just like to say what a difference your breast pads have made to my breast feeding journey.
They're perfection I don't have to worry about leak, or them moving.
I've tried all the pads available and they either fall apart, crumple up, leave a smell or just not protect enough, so they always end up in the bin. My little girl will be 6 months old in a couple of weeks and I couldn't have done it without these pads.

    Breast feeding essential!

Great nursing pads. I feel confident with these in a place that I won’t have any embarrassing moments when I’m out and about! Yet they’re also thin enough to be discreet and can’t be seen through my top. I tried other own brand pads and they just weren’t as good, these didn’t seem scratchy or heavily perfumed. And when my nipples have been sore ive used them along with the Lansinoh nipple cream which is also a breast feeding essential!

    Just what the doctor ordered

I like these pads because they are as soft as using fabric. I have used reusable, fabric pads before that were soft but too thin, I kept leaking. Instead I started using disposable but they felt rough and when I was sore I hated using them because of the friction they created. I saw these pads and thought I’d treat my nipples. They feel like soft like fabric pads and don’t stick to my sore spots. I pump about five times a day and really need a decent pad. The fact that the nipple cream is in the pad is ace. They’re a decent size too. I have a pumping bra that I made myself and these fill the gap really well.

I've just had my 2nd baby and forgot how much milk my boobs produce. It's shocking, so I started using these breastpads and they are amazing!!! They stay in place for ages and I've not once leaked.

    • My baby chewed on the pad and the gel came out – what should I do?

The material that is used to absorb the milk is a Super Absorbent Polymer (SAP).  It is similar to what is in baby diapers, in that it starts as a powder and once the milk hits it, it turns into a gel.  The SAP is non-toxic, however, it of course is not meant for ingestion.  If you do think there is a possibility that your baby did in fact ingest some of the polymer, contact your doctor and/or your local Poison Control Centre.
    • Why do you individually wrap each nursing pad? Isn’t that bad for the environment?

We individually wrap each pad because it keeps each pad clean and hygienic and allows you to toss them in your bag without worry that they will not be sanitary when you use it.
    • There was gel on my breast when I went to feed my baby, what is it?

The reason Lansinoh’s breast pads are so absorbent is that they contain a fine powder within the construction of the pad that is a super absorbent polymer (SAP).  When the milk lets down and begins to flow, the powder turns into a gel, which is the action that is keeping you dry.  If you noticed gel on your breast, it probably means that this leaked from the pad onto your skin either because the pad was torn or ripped prior to your using it or because the pad was too saturated with milk.  This could happen after a particularly big letdown or after wearing the pad for many hours. One option is changing your pad more frequently if you think that could be the cause.  Because our pads are so absorbent, it may not seem as though you are leaking a lot of milk but this is sometimes the case. Or, it could be the case that the pad was torn or slightly ripped and the polymer gel could have gotten onto your skin.  (If that is the case, we can offer a refund but explore other options first).
    • Are these recyclable?

While there are components in the pads that are recyclable, the intact pad is not recyclable. We are working towards using more recyclable products. If you prefer to use a reusable product, you may wish to use the washable nursing pads.
    • Why are the disposable nursing pads so big?

The unique shape is to allow for full coverage for maximum discretion under clothing. Also, the wider area allows for more absorption as the Super Absorbent Polymer is spread over the entire surface of the pad.
    • Do they come in different sizes or colours?

No, they do not. Would you be interested in pads that do?  We consider feedback from our customers the most valuable information that we can ever receive and I would be glad to pass along your suggestions to our product development team.
    • Can I sleep with the pads in?

Yes, many mothers find our pads very absorbent, especially at night. We recommend changing the pads during the night if they become saturated.
    • Are they made of plastic?

The backing of the pad is tissue that has a thin layer of laminate in it. In order for the disposable pads to keep wetness in, this very thin layer of laminate must be used; otherwise, the leaking milk would get soaked in and soak out the back of the pad.
    • My pad keeps bunching in my bra, am I wearing it wrong?

If you pad is bunching, we would recommend using the sticky tabs that are located on the back of the pad to keep it in place. You may also wish to completely remove the pad before pulling your nursing bra flap down which can sometimes cause the pad to get bunched up.
