Sasha Singh

Director, Healthcare Professional

Sasha brings a unique blend of academic insight, personal experience, and heartfelt advocacy to her role. With a background in healthcare education, she spent nine years at the University of York working alongside professors, researchers and midwives to support the development of future nursing and midwifery professionals.

Her passion for breastfeeding was sparked by the powerful science behind it, particularly its impact on improving health outcomes for mothers and babies. A visit to neonatal intensive care units in California deepened her understanding of the emotional and physical challenges faced by new mothers and inspired her to become a breastfeeding peer supporter and certified Mental Health First Aider.

As a mother of three, Sasha’s own breastfeeding journeys have been shaped by birth complications, physical recovery, and the realities of expressing milk while returning to work. These experiences have fuelled her commitment to supporting others with compassion and understanding. She believes every parent deserves evidence-based, individualised care, free from judgement and rooted in respect for personal choice.

Sasha now works closely with health professionals to inform and shape education around maternal and infant health, while continuing to support parents in her community. She is passionate about helping every family feel heard, supported, and confident in their feeding journey.
