Why do mums get engorged?
At around the third day postpartum mum’s breasts may swell (engorgement); but luckily this is a temporary condition. Breastfeeding frequently during this period is the best way to alleviate engorgement, it can sometimes be challenging though as your baby may have trouble latching on properly to engorged breasts. Try to perservere with it and our Latch Assist can help drawing out the nipple if needed.
