Can the Breastmilk Collector collect hind milk too?
Hind milk is the thicker, creamier breast milk you get at the end of your feeding session. The Breastmilk Collector is designed to collect breastmilk that leaks from the opposite breast while feeding or pumping. This first part of the milk or ‘drip milk’ tends to be the watery carbohydrate-rick milk, not the fattier, richer hind milk. It is trial and error and will depend on how long your baby feeds and whether you have an overabundant supply of breast milk. You will know if you have collected any hind milk by the colour changing when it is stored in the fridge, and by the size of the creamy layer.
